our dog is the devil
Nancy and I figured we weren't busy enough
this summer and our house was waaaaay too neat & organized. So we decided to introduce a puppy into things.
We scoured the internet for great dane puppies and even visited the Fulton County animal shelters, to no avail.
Finally we found a litter of eight at a rescue shelter in Calera,
Alabama -- two hours away. We filled up on unleaded gas & Taco Bell -- and drove west to meet our destiny.
We picked the smallest, mangiest dog; a female black labrodane. We named her Jane.
Little did we
know; this dog was the Devil.
..and to top it off, she's not a great dane. At all.

it's been a long time since i had a puppy. there's alot that gets forgotten about puppies; the puddles of urine,
the sharp little teeth, the random destruction, etc. gone are the days of sleeping in. and one can no longer leave things
lying about -- like shoes, remote controls, purses, wallets, phones, or half-eaten sandwiches. to a puppy; everything is
considered food -- or at least, chewable.
come to think of it -- it might have been easier to let an elephant into the house. or a shark.
